Advice on porting old {framed} site to WP?

Evening WP folks…

Am bout to start porting a site I did a long long time ago for my Mum to WordPress – https://www.deirdre-edwards.co.uk/ – with the ultimate aim that hopefully she can update it herself.

Planning to use Simple PHP Gallery for the painting pages, and have the Exhibitions as a blog page, with the rest of the site as static pages, and a feed from the Exhibtions articles on the homepage.

Any other gallery plugins that will give me a similar look to what I have already? (I still think that WP’s photo gallery support is very, well, confusing, and needs working on)

Do you think I will be able to replicate the 100% width navbar at the bottom using CSS (I’m a beginner)
