• Hello,

I’m new to WooCommerce and would like some advice please on setting up my categories and products in the most practical manner.

I have a sitemap like so:

Event > Hotels (for that event) > Hotel (list within Hotels) > Room Types (specific/unique to the hotel)

I’m thinking of making Event a top level category, with ‘Hotels’ as a sub-category. But then I’m not sure whether to make an individual Hotel a variable product, and have the ‘Room Types’ setup as ‘Custom attributes specific to product’, or whether to have an individual Hotel as as 3rd tier category, with the ‘Room Types’ as the products within that.

The prices are based on the room types, and the room types are to be listed on the Hotel page, each with their own image, description, custom fields, etc. (i.e. I need them to be more than just a simple dropdown option in a select).

These room types are to be unique to each hotel, though they may share similar names (and therefore slugs) to rooms from other hotels.

A 2nd opinion on the above, and what would be the most sensible approach would be great ??
