Advice for members area vs email for download

  • Hi guys!

    I have a section of my blog where users will be able to download transcriptions I have wrote. I would like to be able to take an email address to add people to my mailing list for using this.

    I’m not too sure how to go about it, whether to have a members only area (so they only need to give an email once) but I don’t know if the passwords I’d have to give out might bet a bit cumbersome?

    The other option is to ask for an email address and send them the download link.

    I’m not sure how to go about setting up either so any advice would be appreciated!
