Advice for a good Mailing List

Hi there,

I am looking for a good Mailing List plugin with the ability to sign up to a mailing list and then send emails to everybody that has signed up. Ideally entirely in WordPress without any external software installed. The site is running WP2.5 and installed on a Windows 2003 server (It has been modded to send mail through WordPress).

I have tried using Mail List plugin found at https://blue-anvil.com/archives/maillist-for-wordpress-a-mailing-list-mass-mailing-mailer-plugin but have not been able to get it working. Unfortunately the author is no longer offering support and is not planning an update.

I am tempted to purchase the plugin from this site https://tribulant.com/products/view/1/wordpress-mailing-list.html but am not sure if this would work or not.

Does anyone have any experience or advice on the subject?
