    Hi

I have a problem with AWCP (updated to latest version but i had same issue with previous versions).

Ive set expiration treshold for free ads (i only have free ads on my site) to 14 days and didnt check “Check to disable.” box so AWCP should delete ads after 14 days.

In ads listing i can see Start date and proper End date (start date + 14 days) but after 2 weeks ads still have Enabled status and show on classifieds page. For now im deleting them manually but its surelly that doesnt work as intended.

    Some experienced similar problem?

  • Hi th3rion,

Sorry that you ran into issues here.

We’ve had a few reports of this, but each time we’ve found that the reason for lack of expiration was that the web hosting service either disabled or disallowed cron jobs to run. We require a cron job to periodically check for expirations and run a script to clean them up.

Can you check with your web host and see if they have this feature disabled on your site? If they do, get them to enable it and that should correct the issue.

    Hi
    Thank you for your answer.

Im waiting for an answer from my web host provider but I already know that cron is disabled or not working ?? I installed BackupWordpress plugin to check if its able to make automatic scheduled backups but it displays error about cron not working properly.

wp-cron.php is returning a 403 Forbidden response which could mean cron jobs aren’t getting fired properly.

So I hope they can fix this for me and ACWP will work as intended ??
    Thank you for your help
