Adverts at top of all Dashboard pages

    I can provide a screen shot if necessary. I downloaded and installed Passster on two sites – mine and a clients. On my site for the last few weeks I’ve been putting up with seeing the:

    • Passster activation was successfully completed.
    • 7-day free trial

      • affiliate program

    links at the top of my Dashboard pages. If I dismiss them, they reappear when I change the page or the page reloads.

    This doesn’t happen on my client’s site, thank goodness.

    Would you happen to have any idea what the cause (and solution) would be?

    Hey @flitterby,

    thanks for your error report!

    All messages in Passster should be dismissable, so the problem here is maybe a bit more technical.

    What can cause this:

    Basic Auth:

    Is your website protected with Basic Auth?
    Maybe the Freemius API can not communicate with your website to save your decision.

    Ajax isn’t working

    Once you dismiss the message, an Ajax call is made to save the decision without reloading the admin page.

    Maybe that call fails? If you open your browser development settings and check the “Console” tab, you can check that.

    Once you click on the button, an error should be logged in the console.
