Advertising in AutoFocus and AutoFocus Pro

I noticed the that AutoFocus+ Pro (the paid version) allows for 2 optional ad-spaces. One of them is a banner ad that looks like it is at the top of the page. I would prefer not to put an ad at the top of my site. Does the theme provide the ability to place an ad on the side of a page, the bottom of a page or between posts? Does the regular AutoFocus (free version) allows for ads as well?
