Advantages / Disadvantages of One-Click versus manual install of WordPress

  • I have installed WordPress via a One-Click install at least twice before.

    I am moving my previous WordPress site to a new host, a grid-cluster type host. So I am at the fork in the road of installing WordPress as a One-Click or to give manual install a try. I will need to ask how to that, when the time comes.

    What are the downside or upside of either method?

  • In my experience there is no downside or upside, the result is the same.

    I asked this question because on my new host a number of people asked how to install manually on their grid-server hosting. If there is some trouble in a manual install, why do some people prefer it?
