In the Avdanced Tabs, when either removing an icon (x in the tab’s settings), or disabling icons altogether (deselect “Enable Icon”), the block displays “This block has encountered an error and cannot be previewed.” and the block settings cannot be accessed any more:

This is with WP 6.2.2, theme “Twenty Twenty-One” and a freshly installed Essential Blocks plugin.

    Hi @quazgar,

    Greetings. Hope you’re doing good.

Really sorry for the inconvenience. I have just tried to reproduce this on my end by following your above-mentioned steps but I found that it’s working fine here. You may also check this: https://d.pr/v/bZRE8J

So It seems strange actually. Can you please check for plugin conflicts by following this: You can check for Plugin conflicts by deactivating all the third-party plugins one by one except for?Essential Blocks. Simply go to your?WordPress Dashboard?and navigate to?wp-admin -> Plugins?and then, deactivate other Plugins.

Besides, you can switch to a different theme like Astra, Flexia or Twenty Twenty. And, check back as well.

Let me know how it goes. Thank you!

I found the conflict: Having the twentig plugin installed may conflict with the advanced tabs without icons. I do not know though which twentig settings are to blame or where this causes the problem.

Yet another plugin which causes problems: “Easy Table of Contents”, this will show up in the first tab header instead of the icon:

    HI @quazgar,

I hope you’re doing good. Really sorry for the delay in reaching you again.

Thanks for the detail. Well, we have tried to reproduce the issue by creating the same environment and we couldn’t able to reproduce the issue with the twentig plugin, but we’re able to get the issue with the Easy Table of Contents plugin.

After that, we investigated the TOC issue and found that your TOC plugin is causing this. Your TOC plugin works for the very first Header of your page. As the first header of your page is Tab Title, s You may also check this video for more details: https://d.pr/v/AcG2GE

You can ignore this issue in two ways:
    a) You can use a header content above on the Advanced tab.(As per the video: after 1:45min)
    b) You can change the Title Level from the tab settings (As per the video: after 1min)

Hope it helps. Let me know how it goes.

    Thank you!
