Yeah, cell background colors should be back in TinyMCE 4.1.

Thanks, Andrew. Do you have a schedule for the release of 4.1?

Install CKeditor plugin. It makes tables.

To Turn on colors, first make a table. Then edit the cell(s) you want color backgrounds or color table lines.

Also, to make a 100%, 50% etc. table width, just change the px to % (percent sign) in the Table definition (right click table).

    It works great!

You can even right click to edit!

They are already back in WP-Edit (Josh Lobe’s Plugin) and I am using it.

Though not very user friendly but Usable.

This is what was posted today on the bugtracker site:

This ticket has been closed. Since it has either been fixed in the latest released version or in the GitHub version.

If it’s been fixed before an official release you need to use the GitHub version or wait for the nightly build to include the fix to help us verify it. If the bug still isn’t fixed properly then we just add a comment about re-opening it.

Does anyone know what that means? It sounds like maybe tomorrow there will be an update to the TinyMCE Advanced plugin, and that update will include the table features??? Or. . .

I don’t think current TinyMCE can edit cell background, as there is no turn on colour function at all. The old version did have the function.

    Hi

I have started using cell bg and all… Use WP-Edit (Josh Lobe’s Ex- Ultimate TinyMce) Plugin it has already started giving that feature.

    Thanks

    Hi
How do you insert table,as I didn’t see table at all

just replace TinyMCE Advanced table javascript plugin with WP-Edit table js file!

This is a really annoying “feature” or rather “punishment”. There is simply no option to add a class to a table, tr or td without doing it manually in the source editor.

With a large table it becomes impossible.

Not having the ability to assign classes is simply archaic!

Hi all, when will this feature enabled again in TinyMCE Advanced?

    Hi,
I would also like to have advanced options for tables (border color, background).
    Cheers.

With this wish you’re not alone ??
