Advanced Table Options and Some other features not working

table bg colors is not working in version 4.0.2 ??

Please restore this functionality!

Table Class would also be nice – clients use this often – for different table layouts…

I use the table class all the time as well. PLEASE update the plugin!!! Right now I have to revert to hand coding. I look at the coding from work I did on other sites. Really causing chaos.

I haven’t tried it myself yet but it looks useful, probably worth the $16 compared to the hassle of coding one’s own tables.
(By the way – I am in no way connected to the makers of that plugin – I just wanted to share what may be a possible alternative for people)

There is a much more powerful setting in TinyMCE 4.0 that can control almost everything inside the editor: https://www.tinymce.com/wiki.php/Configuration:style_formats. It is harder to set but once done most aspects of the editor can be customized. Also blogged about it here: https://azaozz.wordpress.com/2014/04/19/customizing-tinymce-4-0/.

Been thinking to make a WordPress plugin around it that would add back some of the advanced styling options. Hope to have the time to do it ??

The missing TinyMce4 tables styles are the worst DEGRADE for the whole editor and this interrupted my harmonious workflow for a while. Fortunately CKEditor still works with 3.9. so just use it instead to complicate your life with other suggestions

Glad i am not the only one missing those. Advanced Table Options were the only way to make some beautiful tables. Please bring these features back.

I just need border colors for now. I can wait on the rest, but without a color for the border, you can’t see it.

Can anyone give me the code to add that? I know enough about code to be dangerous, and I looked at the customizing info, but my first question is What file am I editing and how do I get to it?

If I could figure that out and someone had a suggestion for setting the border color, I would be forever grateful.

I had tried putting the border-color: #990000; in the table tag and the editor deletes it every time.

I’m trying to add background colour to cell, but I didn’t find the fouction anywhere in TinyMCE. I like older version.

A response to the bug ticket says that they are working on putting everything back ??
