    Advanced SEO settings disappeared

I am looking for the advanced settings described here: https://yoast.com/help/sitemap-shows-excluded-posts-pages/

The UI I see does not look like the help page. There is no advanced section. I looked at the help section, and there is no link I can see to this topic.

I searched the help files and Google. If Yoast has put the information out there, I was unable to find it via search.

Does anyone know how to find or activate the advanced settings?

When Googling, the top result said this was now a paid feature, is that true?

We are sorry to hear that you’re not seeing the advanced settings in the Yoast SEO meta box. We can imagine how that could be frustrating for you. Let’s see what’s going on here.

We can confirm the advanced settings in the Yoast SEO plugin is available on the both free and premium version. So, if you’re not seeing the advanced settings in the Yoast SEO meta box, please make sure you’re an administrator of your site or a super administrator.

However, if you’re not an administrator of the relevant website but you’d like to have access to the advanced settings in the Yoast SEO meta box, please ask the administrator of the relevant website to disable the Security: no advanced or schema settings for authors option from the SEO → General → Features (tab).

    We hope this helps!

okay, I’ve figured it out. There are two settings panels for Yoast SEO: One is in the sidebar at the right. The other is under the post content, after a great deal of white space. Unless you’re scrolling down, you won’t see the second settings panel, but that is the only one of the two that has advanced settings available.
