    Hi

I’m running WP 6.01 and Events Manager 6.01, PHP 7.4. I’ve tried deactivating plugins and changing theme.

The Advanced Search Fields Formatting Option, ‘Hidden by default?’, does not display the advanced search fields if you say ‘no’.

The website’s readers are older people and the default search form display is unintuitive, so I need the advanced search fields to be visible.

As a workaround, I’ve disabled the search form css. (The ‘basic formatting’ option was the same as the full formatting option). It looks terrible, but at least the advanced search fields are visible!

Also, the search form’s styling is unfamiliar to me. Standard CSS is not working and I doubt that my client will want to pay me to nut it out. I need much more control over the search form, more easily.

    Thanks
    Jackie

I see what you mean now actually, I’ll inform the devs about it. 6.0 was a big redesign, so the fields are now hidden to allow more space, if you select ‘yes’ for the hide fields option it’ll show up as a clickable popup, for now.
