Advanced Search completely hidden: CSS conflict with Bootstrap 3

I’m using Events Manager v5.5.7.1 & Bootstrap v3.3.4.
Search Form options:
- Enable advanced fields? YES
- Hidden by default? YES
The above options will produce a search form that uses advanced fields which are hidden when the page is loaded. Clicking the link to display the advanced fields works fine at first but clicking it again will cause the link itself to disappear along with the advanced fields. This makes it impossible to display the advanced fields again.
The link that toggles the advanced fields has child spans with classes “hide” and “show” respectively which are also used by Bootstrap. When I removed these CSS declarations from Bootstrap the search form functioned normally.
