I am wondering what you think of adding different types of structured data onto an AMP page. For example, lets suppose we have an AMP page which includes a local business on that page.

What would be the best way to do this? Preferably we need to be able to say local business is the main entity of the webpage (article). However, just embedding json within the content doesn’t work (it gets stripped and you can’t use it within the content). Any additional json needs to go into the head.

I can’t seem to find out much about this on the net as to whether it is a good idea or even valid to add different structured data in the head of an AMP page.

Found out more about structured data on AMP – google is my friend.

    Hi @frenchomatic,

Actually, I didn’t understand your use-case very well.

We are working on structured data, so if you can give us some use-cases or any ideas/suggestions, we will appreciate it.

The use case was this – you have an article and it is talking about a local business. The AMP article has structured data automatically generated describing the article but there is no structured data describing the local business. Basically it amounts to adding additional json into the head of an AMP post /page.

The question is also whether this is a good thing to do.
