Advanced Meta Robots – How to Use?

    I’m trying to no-index pages on my site and also make sure the pdf’s are not being indexed that are linked on those pages. Some were being indexed regardless so I edited my .htaccess and robots.txt file, but curious what this field would do: “Meta Robots Advanced: sitewide default: None” and if adding something to it would further protect my pdf’s from being indexed by search engines?
