When adding a page link to an advanced image block it automatically adds target=”_blank” to the source code forcing the link to open in a new tab. Is there a way to override this behaviour?

I have selected Edit As HTML and manually removed the target=”_blank” code from the Advanced Image Block but unfortunately this then forces it to become a Custom HTML Block when saved so I no longer have access to the Advanced Image Block features.

  • Hi,

    Thanks for contacting us.
This is indeed the default behaviour of the Advanced image block link, I don’t have any trick to do that easily.

I will have to add that option in our todo list.

    Hi,

Thank you for the quick response.
It would be great if you could add a toggle that allows the option to open links in a new page to be switched off/on. At least 95% of the links I add to a website refer to the same domain, I would only want a link to open in a new tab if it was redirecting to another website which is very rare. Personally I think the default behaviour should be that links do not open in a new tab.

    Best wishes.
    Tom.

    Sounds right ,I’ll add that.

    Cheers,
