    Hi,

this block is great, and the caption option on hover also, and I managed to set different caption background colors per gallery item via custom css (would be great to allow settings per image as a standard option).

But if one uses the caption placement option with “show on hover”, it is not useable on mobile, especially if combined with your link option. Caption then appears only on touch, but that means that already the link is opening, while this is working in desktop mode with two steps (1. hover -> caption appears, 2. click -> link is opening).

As a first guess, there could be 2 ways to solve that in the future:
    1. allow different caption settings on mobile, or/and
    2. open link on mobile only by a second touch (possibly as a block option)

    Hey,
Thanks for your post, it is a tricky thing to know what’s best, if you are using as a gallery the lightbox can show your caption so clicking on it allows the mobile user to see the image and caption which is effectively what you want for a gallery.

I can see if you use custom links that wouldn’t be ideal as the caption may provide information that would intrigue the user to click. So I’m going to look at adding an option for hover effects to show already on touch devices where hover isn’t really a thing.

    Ben
