I keep applying the advanced firewall, downloading the .htaccess and .user.ini so that it can save changes and then after a day or two i get the same notice to “Configure firewall”…i go ahead and do it…and then after a few days the same notice comes up again…is there any known issues with setting up advanced firewall on cloudways?

    Hi @uriahs-victor,

Thanks for reaching out.  This is happening due to Cloudways Bot Protection overwriting our WAF files. You can turn Cloudways Bot Protection off if you’d rather use Wordfence Extended Protection. There’s nothing we can do to prevent the overwrite from happening, so with Cloudways Bot Protection enabled, Wordfence will always return to Basic Protection.

As a side note, if the auto_prepend_file is already being used, then select the INCLUDE button in the WAF optimization wizard.

    Thanks,
    Margaret
