• It seems “Advanced Excerpt” plugin doesn′t work in the WordPress Querry Loop block. Is it normal?

Is there a way to make it work in a WordPress Querry Loop block?

    Hi @sukinoz

Unfortunately yeah, Gutenberg handles things a bit differently. This plugin is meant for the “old way” of handling things.

I looked into it some time ago but there was no way to filter out the excerpt output. I’ll look into that again, maybe they’ve changed some things.

Will have some more info in a day or two.

I have searched in internet and there doesn’t seem to be a solution…

It’s very strange, because using excerpts in querry loops is becoming more and more frequent, and wanting to have some control over these excerpts (at least respecting line breaks!) seems quite logical to me.

Hopefully you’ll find a solution. I think it will be very well received by the community of wordpress users.

In case it helps, here’s a attempt by Tom from Generateblocks to create a code to make this plugin work with his “excerpts block” from his querry loop

    Hi @sukinoz

Sorry for the wait. It looks like we might be able to make it work, but we’re running into a couple issues which we’re trying to figure out how to solve.

I’m hoping we’ll make it work by the end of this week.
