• Hi and thank you for sharing your work!
It′s running great putting the shortcode on a
    single.php.
    I′m just having one problem.
I made a page template for portfolio pages and
my content is shown by custom fields only.
    (Adv. Custom Fileds Plugin).
My Content is displayed on the live page but not
in the pdf, exept the featured image.
Do I have to change something in my single-portfolio.php?
    Best
    Tom

Sorry for the late follow-up, Tom, and thanks for your kind words.

Can you perhaps send me a link so that I may better see the result? I have a hunch that this is going to be tied into my RFE to allow specifying content by custom fields (i.e., I think right now it’s not that anything is “missing” from the PDF, it’s that we don;t think that we should be including the content in the PDF – a subtle difference). Interesting that the featured image is being produced.

What code did you include in single-portfolio.php? The suggested code for manual placement of the PDF icon?

    Cheers

Hi and thank you for your rebply!
My site with the download link is:
    https://sinact.de/schauspieler/sila-sahin/
All the tabs get their content throu custom fields in the backend.
The pdf should show all the artists information.
Hope you can help me with it or lead me in the right direction how to make it work.
I dont have access to ftp or the WP backend right now, but I think I inserted it with get shortcode in the single-portfolio.pdf.
    Best and thank you,
    Tom

    Ah, okay, Tom.

In the browser, the custom field content is rendered on top of the image, essentially as a layer. In the PDF, you would want the image and then below that, the custom fields, I guess.

Presently, we have no support for custom fields, so I’ll need to look at the plugin to see how we might accommodate it (other have asked for custom field support, so this is something on my list). Let’s leave this thread as unresolved until I have a test version, at least. No promises as to time for that, but as I say, this is on my list, and your example is a clear use case, so I will try to increase its priority.

    Cheers

    Custom fields would be great!
i use them in my site, along with featured image and are integral part of some of my articles (for example https://www.popeating.it/blog/2014/04/01/asparagi-bianchi-mousse-caprino-uova-quaglia-beurre-blanc-nocciole-salvia/)
another cool feature would be include/exclude by category (in my case i have two macro categories, one about recipes that i want as pdf and one about events/people/restaurants that do no need to be in pdf)

thank you again for this plugin

    Hi, Tom…

Not forgotten, just have not had much time for non-work stuff. This is still on my list, though.

    Cheers

Hey Lewis, any words on that? Custom fields for pdf would be awesome.
