Hi,

Nextgen gallery works via the Insert Gallery Window or via shortcode, so if you want a custom field to input a shortcode and make it display in a certain spot on your post, it should work. You might somehow also create a standard shortcode with only the gallery id missing, then if you place a gallery id in a custom field it will fill in the shortcode to display a full gallery.

If you could describe what you want to achieve, what the whole process would look like, I can then let you know if feasible.

Thanks for getting back to me.
I want the café-pages on wielercafes.nl to become a CPT.
Right now, the pages are made by WooCommerce.
If I can achieve the gallery using ACF in CPT that would be great.
I’m using a template for all of the cafés. Would that be a problem?
In other words: can it display different gallerys for every café, using just one shortcode which is referring to the gallery-images in that particular Custom Post?

Sorry for the late reply. Not sure if that’s relevant to you anymore. NextGen’s shortcodes can be normally added to any fields that would allow parsing shortcodes ( in any words, these will need to pass the content through the_content filter.
