Hi, tried your advanced blocks and they really look great.
I wanted to create a download button, where the download prompt is opened when clicking on the block. There seems to be no option to include this in the visual gutenberg editor. it can be easily done in html, but afterwards the block is marked as broken. Am I missing something?
Best regards and thanks for all answers,
    Chris

  • Hey,
You can’t edit html of a block and then convert it back to a block where you can edit it like a block you have to leave it as html. This is how Gutenberg works.

What html are you adding, perhaps I can add a feature for this.

Hi thanks for the quick reply, I already guessed that this is not possible in Gutenberg. I just try to create a download button. I add download=”” after the link, that people can directly download the file (a gpx file in this case). It looks something like that:

    <a href="https://ananasknoedel.com/wp-content/uploads/Aufstieg_Gleinser_Hoefe.gpx" download="" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow"></a>

While it is possible to add the noreferrer nofollow attributes, adirect download prompt is not possible.
It would be really nice if you could add this small feature.
    Best regards and thanks,
    Christian
