Advanced Ads and Thrive Leads

    Dear Thomas,

    My Thrive Leads plugin constantly breaks and I’m trying to find out why. What I notice is that in the Thrive Leads editor screen the “Ad Health (1)” tab in the WP dashboard bar at the top turns red and says “the_content filter does not exist”.

    What does that mean?

    And do you know of any incompatibility between Advanced Ads and Thrive Leads?

    Hi Yannick,

    I am currently not aware of any incompatibility and know that some users mentioned that they use both solutions together.

    The “the_content” warning is just saying that due to this missing filter, the ad will not be injected into the content when you use placements like “Before Content” or “In Content”. That shouldn’t be a reason for Thrive Leads to break.

    Did you check debug.log for some hints on what might be broken? See this tutorial.

    Thomas, thanks so much for your advice.

    However, my wp-config.php doesn’t contain a WP_DEBUG command. This is all there is: https://www.dropbox.com/s/vlaf7mq68ffc23e/wp-config.php?dl=0

    In my cpanel, I do have an error_log and a php_errorlog files. They are both text files/x-generic. Is that the same thing? In there, I can’t find any hint.

    Hi Yannick,

    if your wp-config.php does not contain this line then please add it (above the “stop editing” comment”.

    There could be a related message in the other logs as well. Just search for “advanced-ads” to find anything related.
