Advanced Access Manager with messed up account permissions
-
I recently started using AAM, and created my own roles to better suit the role titles of the publication which owns the website.
Unfortunately, the roles are (seemingly irreparably) broken. Users promoted to the “Section Editor” role *cannot* edit posts (even though I have specified in the Capabilities section that they should be able to edit/remove/publish whatever they want).
Another problem is with promoting users. If I promote an existing user to a role, he will not be able to assume the new permissions of the role. If I make a new user with a role, he *can* assume the permissions.
If somebody could please help rectify this situation, I, and my staff, would be very grateful.
It’s not a particularly visible problem, but the Forum asks me to link my site, sooo: https://palyvoice.com
