Advanced Access Manager slows down Performance

Just installed Advanced Access Manager on my site and it works fine. Now Editors can edit my slideshow without admin rights. Just what I wanted. But P3 (Performance Profiler) shows that the Advanced Access Manager takes nearly 1/3 of my ressources. Anything I can do about it?
