    Hello,

I am using Advance Access Manager(AAM) plugin for about 75 wordpress site. The problem I am having now is Its rewriting all my file(images/attachments) urls and adding “/index.php?aam_media=” on my urls. Now I got the AAM Update and updated in one of my website and I lost my previously configured roles from all users. and re-configuring those roles will take more time so is there a way I can get my wordpress default urls back?? OR not losing my settings with new AAM Update??

    Thank you

  • Hi rambknows,

The reason you have all your media files with ‘index.php?aam_media=’ url is that because AAM Media extension for AAM version 2.x overwrite the default URL to the file to protect it from the direct access.

In AAM 3.x this extension no longer exists.

At this point there is no easy solution. You would have to roleback to AAM 2.x version or reupload all your media files.

You can also write a quick PHP script that will iterate though each media and overwrite back the URLs.

    Best Regards,
    Vasyl
