my main site has been approved and running auto ads using google sitekit plugin. But i have multisite setup. which is in subdirectory label. on subsite when i try to connect adsense though sitekit i get this message everytime:

Site Kit can’t access necessary data
Site Kit can’t access the relevant data from AdSense because you haven’t granted all permissions requested during setup. To use Site Kit, you’ll need to redo the setup for AdSense – make sure to approve all permissions at the authentication stage.

Note: for setting up subsite sitekit, iam using same google account that has AdSense.
should i just paste auto ads code into subsite? or there’s any explanation for this.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hello thanks for your question I will be happy to help. The message you are seeing is usually displayed when Site Kit hasn’t been granted access to your Google account.

Without granting Site Kit access to your Google account you won’t be able to set up AdSense within Site Kit and as a result won’t be able to see the required information.

To grant the access you should see a ‘Redo Setup’ button after that message. Select the option and ensure that you grant Site Kit all access to your Google account when prompted and continue. If you are still getting the message after this could to please let me know at what point this happens?

If the redo setup does not work then would you please be able to provide your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.

Site Kit does work on subsites within a multisite environment, as you have done, so that shouldn’t be an issue

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Thanks for fast reply. But i did everything okay. But this redo setup keep continues happen. So i used my second Google ac for connection. And it connected perfectly. So i can say this that my site kit connection problem solved.

But my second worry is this:
From adsense dashboard i took auto ad codes and put on headers of the theme (from cpanel file Manager) so now all my subsite using that theme, is showing ads.

But my main site which i have connected adsense with site kit. Is this gonna create any problem?

No problem at all and happy to hear you have got connected.

Connecting SK via a second Google account is fine. You are only permitted to 1 AdSense account per user. But AdSense account holders can grant access to other emails, so as long as you have granted access from you sole account that should be fine. This page should help explain.

All sites need to be approved from the AdSense platform. If you copied and pasted the code from your AdSense account that’s fine, but ads won’t appear until AdSense has approved this site if it’s not already approved. The same AdSense Auto ads code can be used for all of your sites, referencing the same AdSense account ID.

Hope this helps and please let me know if you have any further queries or concerns.

Well my primary site is this: https://Www.mysite.com
    And subsite is https://www.mysite.com/bd
These two are my multisite setup on subdirectory.

    Now

AdSense account holders can grant access to other emails, so as long as you have granted access from you sole account that should be fine

I have already added my second gaccount on adsense which i used to setup sk on sub site.

But now let’s say in easily:

On my sub site i have copy-pasted auto adcode on network wide theme. So multisite has that adcode in site.
But my main site bcoz of sk i think Theirs two code probably.

Main site: Direct auto ad code+ sitekit ad code.
Subsite: Direct auto ad code (Only)

I want to know if this will create any conflict on adsense?

    Sry for my poor English.

There should only be one AdSense Auto ads snippet placed on a site. In this scenario I would suggest using only the Site Kit ad code and removing the direct ad code.

As there is currently more than one type of ads snippet on your main site I can seethe following console error.

As stated in the console error one of the snippets will be ignored. Best practice indicates that only 1 snippet is placed. When setting up AdSense within Site Kit the plugin will use a non SK placed snippet so a user can still see their AdSense reports without the plugin actually placing the snippet.

Let me know if you have any further questions I can help with.

Thanks for the suggests. But that put me back on the beginning. Sk only working on main site. Not sub site. If i remove auto ads code, then my subsite will not be able to show ads.

should i just use insert header and footer plugins on my subsite? For Putting ads code?

So you have Site Kit installed and connected to your AdSense account on your main site but not on your subsite.

You should be able to install Site Kit on your subsite and connect to the same AdSense account as you have with your main site. Could you please try this again and make sure to accept any permissions requested by Site Kit when setting this up.

If you get an error message when trying this would you be able to provide your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.

It would also be very useful if you could provide a video recording of this on the form which would help in troubleshooting your issue.
