• I am running a blog site: https://affordablecarinsurancetips.com and despite the fact that I have my keyword Car Insurance all over the site, adsense is displaying blogging ads on the homepage.

What makes this more strange is that when you click on the post, car insurance ads show up, so its definitely something on the homepage that is tripping it out. I tried removing the blogroll and I tried using adsense section targeting codes but none of them seem to work.

I noticed that in my page source that the code <meta name=”generator” content=”WordPress 2.5.1″ /> shows underneath my page title, perhaps this is what is tripping it out?

I am running WordPress 2.5.1 on a godaddy.com server. I am running the following plugins:

    – All in one SEO Pack
    – All in one Adsense and YPN
    – Google XML Sitemaps

Anyone have any idea how to fix this? My email is jeffreyjwilliamson AT gmail dot com if anyone would prefer to email me.

  • Hi there, the <meta name=”generator” content=”WordPress 2.5.1″
merely indicates the version of wordpress you are running.
The ads are most likely generated by All in one Adsense and YPN.
If you don’t want thse ads, just de-activate the adsense plugin.
    good luck. mike.

Thanks Mikey1. I tried deactivating the All In One Adsense but I also have an adsense script dropped into a sidebar php file (I am using a courtneytuttle.com template that is designed to include adsense) and the sidebar adsense still shows Blogging ads.

The strange thing is I have another website https://www.coloradoeyedoctor.net with the exact same template (colors only changed) and the exact same plugins and I have zero problems with the ads.

    hi kiddlattimer,

I notice your homepage is working with adsense now, how did you resolve it please?

Can someone please give their resolution on this?? I have one site that runs fine but two new sites have nothing but BLOGGING/PRESS ads all over the main homepage. I have tried taking out the wordpress phrases, added meta tags related to my site content. This is happening with every theme. I notice that when I choose some themes and display them in the admin prior to activate, the ads are correct but as soon as I activate and go to the site, the same BLOGGING ADS show up. When I select a post the ads are correct.

    Sigend

    Completely Frustrated!!!
