Adsense Ads NOT Showing & Only Blank Space Appears

    Hi,

    I have been trying to figure out why my Adsense ads are no longer appearing. They haven’t appeared for nearly 2 months for some reason. There are only blank spaces that appear where the ads should be.

    Auto-ads are enabled along with manual ads. There are manual ads placed with the Ad Inserter plugin (set after each post).

    You can see an example on my main page:

    You may need to reload your browser to see the blank yellow ad space at the bottom of the page.

    Any advice would be much appreciated!

    I get this error in the console:

    Chrome blocked resource https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js on this site because this site tends to show ads that interrupt, distract, mislead, or prevent user control. Learn more at https://www.chromestatus.com/feature/5738264052891648

    When you see blank ad blocks it means that Google is not serving ads:

    I wonder if it had to do with the “Propeller Ads” plugin that I had temporarily installed that was causing forced pop-ups and redirects. I removed the plugin, purged all the caches, and reloaded the page again; however, I see that there is still the same error in the Chrome Console.

    Any other ideas on how I could fix this?

    Very likely this was the cause.

    Well, the error is not reported by the ads.
    It is Google who doesn’t like your site.
    Check in Google Search Console for any manual actions.

    Well, problem solved.

    I submitted a request to Google Web Tools to review the site again after telling them that I had removed the intrusive Propeller Ads plugin.

    They approved it and the site is now showing ads again.
