Adsense Ads not displayed on iPhone6 with Safari

I posted the text below on the AdSense Help Forum a week ago but did not get a reply – hopefully I can get some more information here.
I am using the Google Adsense Plugin on WordPress with a responsive theme. I have noticed that no adSense ads are being displayed on the iPhone6 using Safari. The theme support people said that this was a know issue with the Google Adsense plugin. Can this be confirmed and if so, is there a ETA available by when this might be fixed?
