    Hi Thomas,

I have deleted ad inserter and just using your plugin. There is a strange thing. I am using short code to display the adsense ad. When the ad is showing, my page (at the before Content area) got a space randomly created with nothing showing on it. When I check the Google developer ad, it shows the following iframe under #document

    <!DOCTYPE html><html><head><script>window.top.postMessage(‘{“msg_type”:”resize-me”,”key_value”:[{“key”:”r_nh”,”value”:”0″},{“key”:”qid”,”value”:”CPOE_qghjjffhjjkkkg”}],”googMsgType”:”sth”}’, ‘*’);</script><script>window.top.postMessage(‘{“msg_type”:”adsense-labs”,”key_value”:[{“key”:”settings”,”value”:”[\\\”ca-pub-384934485495\\\”]”}],”googMsgType”:”sth”}’, ‘*’);</script></head></html>

It does not appear when the adsense ad is not showing.

Do you have any idea what this is and how do I remove it?

    Thank you!

    Hi abcwpgrandpa,

it looks like an ad code that was not filled by the ad network. Can I see this live somewhere?

    Thanks,
    Thomas

    Hello Thomas,

It seems like the blank space is now gone. Strange.
I have added a placement (after content) however it is not showing. Any idea?

Also, in the above page, I have added shortcode to show the adsense ad but it is sometimes showing only. Do you know why?

    Thank you!

    Hi abcwpgrandpa,

    thanks for your feedback.

    > I have added a placement (after content) however it is not showing. Any idea?

Please go to that page and let me know if there is a warning given under the “Ad Health” menu in the toolbar at the top. If my suspicion is correct then there should be one.

    > Also, in the above page, I have added shortcode to show the adsense ad but it is sometimes showing only. Do you know why?

The code looks correct. If it is a new ad then just give it some time. If it keeps happening after a week then just let me know.

    Best regards,
    Thomas

    Hi Thomas,

    1. Unfortunately there is no warning under ad health menu. Strange.

    2. Sure, is it because it is in a div? It should not affect right?

    Thank you!

Oh my apologies. Just saw it after I refresh.

It says the content filter does not exist. Wonder what that means and how to resolve it.

It was working fine when I did not do the page exclusion and targeting all pages.
After i added the page exclusions, this error appear. ??

    Hi abcwpgrandpa,

    thanks for your feedback.

If the the_content filter is missing then it is due to the theme or plugin that creates the page. If it worked before then maybe there was an update of the theme or plugin that changed the behavior. It is not that likely, but possible.

Anyway, I can see the placement container at the bottom of https://www.learnthread.com/tampines/tuition/tuition-centres/lynn-tuition-centre-tampines/, so it means that the the_content filter is actually there.

I can also see part of an AdSense code in there. Another part is missing and I believe it could be due to some script optimization feature enabled on your site. Please disable the plugin that might minify or “optimize” scripts on your website and let me know if anything changes.

    Thanks,
    Thomas

    Hi Thomas,

Thank you for the detailed explanation.

I have disabled the siteground javascript minify. Seems like that error is still there.
    Any idea?

    Thank you!!

    Hi abcwpgrandpa,

thanks. I think I might have looked at the wrong position.

There is a manually placed AdSense ad below the “Categories” block on the mentioned page. That code is complete now, but not filled because AdSense is not able to determine the correct size.

Please switch the AdSense ad type from “responsive” to “normal” and give it a size of 300×250. That should show a blank box first and, if your AdSense account is working, start showing ads within 30-60 minutes.

The content injection does not work due to the missing the_content filter then. There is nothing Advanced Ads can do about that. It is either something missing in the theme or plugin that creates those pages and I would kindly ask you to contact their developers.

    Best regards,
    Thomas

    Sure no problem Thomas!

Please switch the AdSense ad type from “responsive” to “normal” and give it a size of 300×250

Will this affect the ad from showing on mobile if it is switched from responsive to normal?

    Thank you!!

No, it will not affect the ad on mobile devices.

    Thank you Thomas!

As I have created the ad in adsense to be responsive so I have to change the ad in adsense account to non responsive (300×250) and re-add this ad in your plugin and select non responsive. This ad will then show properly in desktop and mobile afterwards? Is my understanding correct?

    Hi abcwpgrandpa,

if you created it as a “Display” ad type in your AdSense account then you should be able to just switch the type in the Advanced Ads ad settings. There is a link called “Set up AdSense code manually”. When you click it, you should be able to switch the Type to “normal” and then select a size.

    Best regards,
    Thomas

Thank you Thomas! I have tried your method but it is still showing blank. Any idea why it is not detecting the size properly?

    Hi abcwpgrandpa,

thanks for your feedback. When I check https://www.learnthread.com/tampines/tuition/tuition-centres/lynn-tuition-centre-tampines/, I don’t see an ad with a fixed size. Did you place it somewhere else?

If it doesn’t work then the issue is very likely in the AdSense account. Do you see any warnings there in the “Policy Center”?

    Thanks,
    Thomas
