    Hi Thomas,

I used your plugin to install the Adsense code on my website. Today I received a notice from Adsense that my account could not be approved. The reason stated was ‘valuable inventory: no content’ and I have been asked to fix the error and resubmit. My problem is that I am unsure exactly what to fix. I thumbed through Adsense’s FAQ and it would appear I am not violating any rules listed. Their language is rather vague on my particular issue and it doesn’t appear I have the option of speaking with anyone directly at Google regarding the matter. There is plenty of content on the site which is now about a month old. My hunch is that the code has been placed improperly or on pages such as ‘About’ and ‘Contact” that have virtually no content available. I’m hoping your expertise on Adsense and coding will help me solve my riddle. Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.

    Hi Keith,

    thanks for reaching out.

Technically, the integration of the Verification & Auto ads code looks ok. It also contacts the AdSense server. Removing two of the three codes would be good, since it is enough to have it once on the page, but that wouldn’t cause ads to not show up either.

It is normal for AdSense being vague on their error messages. The amount of articles and content in it seems ok to me. I cannot say anything about the depth and uniqueness of it, which might be an issue.

Sorry that I cannot give a specific answer to your problem. I would suggest posting in the AdSense forums and see if someone else can spot something.

    Best regards,
    Thomas

    Hi Thomas,

Thank you for the information. Can you tell me where you located the Adsense code in triple so I may remove the duplicates? I used your plugin to ‘install’ the code the first time, yet I wasn’t sure where it placed it. Then I used a different plugin that was only used to add the code to the header, but again I could not locate it. After using both the above methods I examined my Header.php file I didn’t see the code, thus I pasted it manually in the required area. As you mentioned above this is unlikely to cause an issue but I would prefer to have it cleaned up moving forward. I also read that if your site did not include a privacy policy page that Adsense would outright reject your application. Naturally, I added a privacy page statement and have resubmitted. Have you heard of the need for this specifically?

    Thanks,
    Keith

    Hi Keith,

I just opened your website in my browser and then opened the code view and searched for adsbygoogle.js.

No plugin would or should add the code in your header.php file. WordPress is smart enough to allow us to do this dynamically when the page is created by using something called “hooks”.

I don’t know the elements of the site review process. AdSense would definitely tell you that you’d need a privacy policy, but I don’t know if they check it in the first review.

    Best regards,
    Thomas
