    Hello.

In the page with the cookie policy, you say:

    7.3 Advertising cookies

On this website we use advertising cookies, enabling us to personalize the advertisements for you, and we (and third parties) gain insights into the campaign results. This happens based on a profile we create based on your click and surfing on and outside ….

BUT a lot websites have enabled the option for NO Personalized ads for EU in Google Adsense settings.

So the above statement is not right.

    Thanks

The same wrong information also shows here:

Purpose: This cookie is used by Google Adsense, to show you advertisements based on browsing behavior.
    Retention period: 365 days
Description: This cookie is used by Google Adsense, to show you advertisements based on browsing behavior.

If NO Personalized ads is ENABLED in Google adsense, NO browsing behavior (tracking) is happening.

    Thanks

    Hi @massimod,

Thank you for your feedback. If the advertising cookies are solely based on AdSense and non-personalized Ads in the EU are enabled, you’re right in saying the profile will not be based on behavior (click and surfing) outside of the current page.

We will have to take a look if we can make an exception for AdSense/Non Personalized if these are the only advertising cookies on the website, for this paragraph is a general explanation of the advertising cookies used and can contain others, like Facebook as well.

    Thanks again, regards Aert

    Hi @massimod

About the cookie description, can you tell me on which domain this cookie is placed?

So I can find the matching functionality and value in this specific case,

    Let me know! Regards Aert

Not sure i understand the question.

The “switch” to turn off the personalized ads is located in Google Adsense dashboard at Google.com and not in Woprdpress script, still probably you ask something else …

If the switch is turned off in the Google AdSense account, we should see different cookies, or the removal of specific cookies, which track user behavior.

If you have a domain, where non-personalized ads are shown, but our document says otherwise, I can have a look at the configuration on a live environment, and the specific cookies and values related to AdSense.

If you don’t. I will set-up our staging environments to match these settings.

    Hi @massimod,

Thanks for thinking with us. Our IT Lawyer is looking at the variables and if we need an adjustment in the wizard for questions surrounding Advertising, like we have for Google Analytics for example.

Will get back to you soon. Regards Aert

    Hi @massimod,

An additional question about non personalized ads will be added to the wizard on the next release, which will result in a different paragraph about advertising cookies.

Thanks, i will check again after that release.
