Hello from Brazil! How are you? I need some help. I’m having an issue connecting the ads.txt for my blog using Site Kit. AdSense is indicating that the ads.txt file is not found, but when I check under Tools > Health > Info, it appears as included on the site. How can I resolve this issue? I chose to authorize Site Kit to include the ads.txt in my WordPress, and it shows as inserted, but AdSense doesn’t approve it because it’s still showing as not found. I’ve tried reconnecting, clearing the cache, and even disabling the cache, but nothing I do seems to make the ads.txt recognized. Could you please help me? Thank you!

Oi @ericops! Thanks for reaching out. The screenshot you shared from your Site Health status only indicates a Site Kit placed AdSense snippet, and not your ads.txt file. Site Kit doesn’t include any ads.txt functionality at present, but you can use a plugin such as ads.txt manager to ensure a valid ads.txt file is placed.

Regarding your second screenshot, where you shared the status for your site (without an ads.txt file), once you do have an ads.txt file placed, AdSense will update this status and reflect your newly added ads.txt file.

Note also that not having a valid ads.txt file placed on your site does not impact whether your site is approved for ads. Hopefully by the time your site is reviewed, you will also have an ads.txt file placed. We have a guide on the Site Kit website with some details on the different status’ that you may encounter regarding your AdSense site approval.

Let me know if you have any questions with the above.

Thank you, James. I apologize for posting twice. I posted, and when I refreshed to check, the post didn’t appear, so I submitted it again. Sorry about that. Thank you for the tips with the Ads Manager Plugin—it worked! I thought the ads.txt was essential, and since I had authorized Site Kit to insert it, I got frustrated trying to make it work. But it’s all set now. Now, I’ll just wait. Thanks for the help. I’ll close the topic. Have a great day.

Glad to hear that worked for you, and thank you for the update. If you run into any further errors or if you have any Site Kit related queries, be sure to get in touch. If you have a moment free please also consider sharing your thoughts on the plugin. Obrigado!
