ads.txt file – where is it generated from

    Hi. I would please like to know where the ads.txt files are typically generated from. Are they automatically generated or manually created?

    The ads.txt file can be edited within the dashboard in the Settings > Ads.txt menu. You need to enter the contents of the file manually using required format.

    The file itself can be seen in the root directory of your site by visiting example.com/ads.txt. The file is not created on your server and is virtual in the same way the blog posts, pages and other content are in WordPress.

    Thank you for your response; however, I would specifically like to know where it comes from (i.e. downloadable from a website). Where do the actual items in the ads.txt originate from and how do I update it? I am aware of each element of each line in that file, but I would just like to do some filtering. It would be great to find the source of the file, filter out specific things, and then re-generate it.
