Ads only on mobile

    Hi – I’m trying to do auto ads with adsense. I have added code to the header, and I get no errors. Everything seems fine on mobile devices, but nothing shows up on desktop. When I preview or view posts on desktop, it says ‘code for adsense auto ads detected’…

    So why does it only work on mobile? I don’t have any ad blockers running on this pc.

    Code for AdSense auto ads is properly inserted.

    Hard to say why Google does not serve ads on desktop.

    I don’t believe there is anything you can do.
    Google decides when and where to show ads.

    Maybe you can try with another theme. Normally the auto ads code should find suitable positions for insertion and in some cases this might fail.

    It may not be you or the plugin, I have the same problem on my auto-ads. Everything appears to be set up fine and I can find the code in the page source – Ad Inserter is working.

    I dug around a little bit and found a thread on Adsense community where this seems to be a recent issue. The thread started in the beginning of April but there is a consistent stream of “me too” leading right up to today. Same exact issue – auto ads are working fine on mobile devices, but not desktop.
