    Hi mpdesai,

    thanks for reaching out.

I see that you have ads in the sidebar and below posts.

Does your category page use a sidebar? If so, are other sidebar widgets working in there?

The “Below Content” placement would not work on category pages because they, technically, don’t have content.

I have listed the possibilities you have for placing ads between posts on category pages on this manual page.

Please let me know if you need anything else.

    Thomas,

Yes – other sidebar widgets are working – i added a “Archives” widget and you can see it on the category pages.

    Hi mpdesai,

    thanks for your feedback.

We received various reports about WP Smush not delivering ads in the sidebar. Could that be the case? Or are you using any other plugin that “improves” images and could test if it causes the issue?

Or are you using display or visitor conditions?

    Thanks,
    Thomas

i am not using WP Smush – also the ads displays on the sides for all pages except the category pages.

i am not aware of any display or visitor conditions that could prevent the ads from displaying on the sidebar.

    Thanks for your feedback.

Does the ad show up when you enable the “Debug mode” on the ad edit screen? It is visible when you disable the Wizard.

    Thanks,
    Thomas

Thanks again for testing and still working with me on this.

Could I ask you to check out https://wpadvancedads.com/plugin-theme-conflicts/ and let me know if you would feel comfortable testing it with a default theme and other plugins disabled using the Health Check plugin?

    Thanks,
    Thomas

    Thomas,

I don’t feel comfortable testing with default them and other plugins disabled.

Is there a chance for us to get together on a call with screen sharing and try and troubleshoot this in real time?

    Hi mpdesai,

I understand that doing that on a live site might look scary. You can also create a copy of your site and work on that. Just follow this tutorial.

I would also ask to disable plugins and themes in a screen share session to circle in on the problem. The first thing here would be to test it with another theme.

    Best regards,
    Thomas

It looks like this plugin is preventing the ads from displaying – https://www.wpautoterms.com/

I disabled that plugin and the ads now appear on the category pages.

I have written to that plugin contact – but anything that you would suggest to resolve this?

    Hi mpdesai,

    good catch.

We wrote them an email 6 weeks ago with a suggestion for a fix. They didn’t reply yet …

    Best regards,
    Thomas

They must have missed your email – because they never heard from you – someone from WP Auto Terms has reached out to you – you can also reach them at [email protected]

I just replied to their email. My colleague sent them information on how to reproduce the issue without Advanced Ads which is why they might not have made the connection.
