Hi, no matter what I do (change browser, addblockers off, test on phone, tablet, 4 browsers with ad blocking off) I cant get ads to show on my PC. I actually believe they may be working on other peoples though. Im not sure.

In debug mode I get this:

    Ad debug output
The ad is displayed on the page
current post: How To Play Jazz Drumming (Understanding Jazz Beats), ID: 7582
Ad: End of Content Amazon Ad (7429)

It says ads are displayed, but to me, ads are not displayed.

Any ideas on how I can get them to show for me? I have left an ad activated on that page (bottom) (plus a shortcode version near the top)

    Hi 4elife,

    Thanks for reaching out.

I can see the placements as well as the Amazon ad code placed after the first paragraph and at the end of your article.

You can always ensure the functionality from Advanced Ads by using the ad debug mode or the dummy ad type.
Testing the ad code without Advanced Ads as plain HTML would also ensure it is working generally.

If I change my browsers’ location to the USA I also see the ads expanding and showing the offers. I guess this is the default behavior, since some Amazon ad types are only showing for particular countries.

I recommend the just released and extensive tutorial about the different Amazon ad types and all your option placing them using Advanced Ads.

Please let me know if you need anything else.

    Best regards,
    Henning

I took a quick look which I believe gave me the answer but then that was proven wrong.

I believded that it was because the ads were US ads as I believe you mentioned. I tried all kinds of ads but the script type ads are not available in the UK. So couldnt test them out. I tried a US based server through a VPN but they still didnt work.

I dug deeper into my actual PC because I asked 2 people to see if they could see the ads and they could. They were from Mexico and London. So the Londn one thesw me off my original belief that it was because of US based ads/scripts. But because she could see the ads means that they should work in UK based.

I tried what you said about changing my browser location but that made no diffference.

I cleared my casches, my DNS cache and checked my ISP for blocks. NOTHING. NADA. NAUGHT!

    Still nothing showing up here.

And to be honest, lifes to short to allow it to trash my productivity. So have moved on. If I have to I will turn the ads on and leave the empty spaces (on my end) and let others see them. I can see the ad spots but its just whitespace.

    Hi 4elife,

    Thanks for the feedback.

I am sorry to read about these inconstant ad codes. I checked back your website and con confirm the reported behavior for the sidebar Amazon ad.

If you want to look in a new approach on affiliate marketing, I highly recommend this story from our longtime user Peer and his ad setup. While setting up your “own” custom ads might be more complex than placing ad code from an ad network in the first place, I think, the biggest advantage might be that these custom ads are nearly impossible to detect by an ad blocker if done right.

I am curious to read more about your further findings on embedding Amazon ads or trying an alternative approach.

If you have further questions regarding Advanced Ads, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me again.

    Best regards,
    Henning

Thanks. I will check it out. But I am a=continuing creating content at present. I was jumping the gun a little with ads as I applied for Ezoic but google shot me down for trying. So… well, F them. lol. I then turned to Amazon and faced this issue. I also tried Ad Inserter and the issues are the same.

The sidebar ads are not switched on by the way.

Anyways. Ile get back to solving it later. Much appreciated.
