Ads mess up my blog

When I activate and place ads on my blog, turtleboysports.com, it causes the main page of my website to get all messed up. I use the Trident Lite theme, and it causes it to go to 1 column, instead of two, on desktop computers. Every blog underneath the top one shrinks in terms of width, but grows in terms of length. It makes it unreadable, which defeats the purpose of ads. However, this only happens when I use a desktop computer. Can anyone help me out?
