    I have a WordPress posts that displays ads with Advanced Ads plugin. Those ads dont appear in the WordPress JSON post feed content section.

    I know you have custom JSON but that only displays as the ad tags only and not embedded in the json content feed.

    Is there any way to have the ads in the Content of the wordpress json feed so that it has the same ads as the WordPress web post?

    Here is an example JSON feed from the advanced ads site. I want the ads to appear in this section of the feed: “content”: {
    “rendered”: “

    Hey PaulStarkey,

    thanks for reaching out.

    Please check in the Advanced Ads settings, if the “Disable ads in REST API” might be selected. If so, disable it to make the ad code appear.

    Let me know if this doesn’t work and I will investigate further.

    Thanks,
    Thomas

    Hi Thomas,

    The checkbox, as far as I can see, only adds a custom json feed with ads only and no post content. It does not put the ads in the default WordPress JSON feed posts section as described in my first email.

    Here is an example JSON feed from the advanced ads site. I want the ads that appear in live posts to appear in this section of the JSON feed: “content”: {
    “rendered”: “

    Ideally I would like custom ad sizes for mobile to appear in the defautl WordPress JSON feed. I have a client who uses your plugin and we are using the WordPress JSON feed for content.

    Hey PaulStarkey,

    thanks for your feedback. The option I mentioned is indeed for ad injections into the content of the REST API. Not to be confused with the REST API to query ads directly.

    Please test it with a simple dummy or image ad without any conditions. Conditions would cause the ad to not show up.

    Thanks,
    Thomas

    Hi Thomas,

    I have a test ad at the bottom of this post with no conditions:

    The test ad does not show in the WordPress JSON feed. Check the first post “content” field:

    Checkbox to show in json is set

    Hi PaulStarkey,

    I found a discrepancy between two test sites. One where it works and another where it doesn’t. I have to dig deeper and will get back to you next week.

    Thanks,
    Thomas
