• Hey guys,

I am creating a new blog website (kavitanjali.blogsome.com). However, there is a problem with the “Ads by Goolge” as they are totally out of position in Firefox as well as IE.

For IE screen shot, see here:

For Firefox screen shot, see here:
    https://img89.imageshack.us/img89/5091/firefox016yk.th.jpg

Please note that I have not put these myself, as the Ads by Google is included with the free blogs at blogsome.com

Anyone know how I could fix the code of this Theme or CSS to fix the “Ads by Goooogle”.

I also get a few errors upon validation of XHTML code, however I just don’t know how to fix them. Maybe the problem is there.

    Please help.

  • As ads are a requirement with Blogsome, have you asked them ? They may have the solution.

where do you want the ads to be?
    can you move them somewhere?
you seem to have them positioned in your sidebar…since your page isnt as long, the ads fill up more space…
i would suggest, that you put them at the bottom of your page….then you dont have any troubles with your site design. i did it that way at https://www.tawfik.at and works fine for me.

The ads are placed in that left sidebar because that is how they came with the theme.

I have asked at the blogsome forums, and was told that i should try to validate the XHTML and fix the code. However, I don’t know how to do that.

I really don’t want to move them to the bottom, as I think they suit well on the side. However, I don’t know how to fix the positioning. I am sure there is a way to it.

You may be able to fix this simply by putting something after the ads. Try moving the “other” section (where the admin and login links are) to appear after the Google Ads.

You are allowed remove ads on Blogsome.

I’ll ask the guys to have a look at that template and see if we can fix it. I know it’s not much consolation, but if you do have a number of posts in the template, I think the problems go away.

    ….

Actually I’ve just looked at you’re blog and you resolved it…by removing the ads! No promlemas.
