    Hey There,

    The facts:
    WordPress 6.3.1
    WooCommerce 8.0.3
    WooCommerce PayPal Payments 2.2.2
    – We are using the Blocks and the WooCommerce Blocks for Checkout

    The Problem:
The Smart Button for Paypal Checkout on the Checkout Page works and when we complete a transaction the users shipping address is populated in the Checkout confirmation form.

Any other smart button does not populate address data. So if we use the paypol button on a Single Product page, no data is populated in the form.

Are there any differences in the implementation of those two buttons?

    Thanks for your support!

    Philipp

    Hello @psgmnd

Thank you for reaching out to us, we are here to help.

The issue you raise here is a known one, and we have bug open for it.

When setting the Block Checkout as default and initiating a payment from e.g. the single product page as a guest, the PayPal shipping/billing details will not be transmitted to the Block Checkout.
The details will appear in the short code Checkout, but not the Block Checkout.

Currently, we are working on different items that we need to include in 2.3.0, but after this release we intend to focus again on the Blocks features and get this to work better. This is why we need to ask you for some more patience, so we can get you a fully working, more polished version of the Blocks version of our plugin.
I have linked this thread to the bug, so we can contact you once this is resolved, to check if this resolved the problem for you. Be aware, we expect this to only happen in Q4 of this year.

Let me know if you have any other questions for us.

    Kind regards,
    Joost
