adopt Neve images?

I am using Neve (pro) as a theme. I have installed simply-gallery-block.

It works when i create a new image as a block.

However, “USAGE
All linked images in a post or page will be displayed using SimpLy Lihghtbox, regardless if they are part of a gallery or single images. Just make sure that you link the image or gallery directly to the media and not the attachment page (in galleries the option link=file should be set).”

this option does not seem to function. E.g. sample page https://www.agilicus.com/browsers-remove-tls-1-update-your-server/

the images are not lightboxed. Is it supposed to ‘adopt’ the standard images? It would be much simpler for me.
I believe I am “link=file”
