    Hey all,

I have just noticed that I do not seem to have the ability to edit users on my site. I do not know how long this has been as issue as I rearely have to edit/add users, but basically the ‘User’ menu has been replced with the same ‘Profile’ menu that Authors, Editors, etc are presented with.

I have de-activated all my plugins and changed to a different them and switched back with no joy. I have also checked the DB and I am logged as an ‘administrator’ and under the ‘wp_user_roles’ opition the administrator has the following capabilites (as well as the rest stated on Roles and Capabilities codex page) –

    add_users
    create_users
    delete_users
    edit_users
    list_users
    promote_users
    remove_users

Of all the above I seem to only be able to ‘add_users’ (I have the Add User option under the Profile menu) – when it goas to create the user I get a message saying ‘Cheatin’ uh?’

Just wondering if anybody has any ideas as to what may be causing this?

    Thanks.

Is any one able to help on this at all? Need to add a user and edit the level of one other but I do not have the ‘Users’ menu available, dispite being an admin and seemingly having all of the correct capabilities.

    Thanks.

Don’t know what the problem was – in the end I copied the DB across from a back up of the site and amended the bits that needed changing, now have the menu back.

    Thanks.
