    have i misunderstood administrator overrides? i thought it meant administrator can select any time, but as it seems impossible to enter a time other than those in the set schedule i guess what it really means is administrator can override the late and early bookings only.

    our restaurant opens 6pm to midnight x 7 days, but takes wedding parties and other group bookings outside of these times, say 2pm. how can i input these?

    (also email and phone, though we want it as required in front end bookings, would ideally not want it as required in back end. however hard we try there will be some walk in and referred bookings where we won’t have one or other or both. as it stand’s i’m having to make up fictitious emails and tel numbers just to get booking accepted – this is a bore but not a biggie)

    as you have kindly already attended to admin override on the size of party, would it be possible to apply an overall administrator all field verification is off?

    I am currently inputting 150 existing bookings manually before going live, so i can extend hours to deal with the existing bookings, then restrict them again before going public, hope the time issue is resolvable.

    Here’s a little addon that overrides the scheduling restrictions when you’re in the admin area:

    That should allow you to book any day or time from the admin backend.

    Email is a bit trickier. The system is wired up pretty tightly to expect an email address (for instance, with Notifications). Not including one could cause unexpected issues. I’d recommend you just use a company one for now, and disable the required phone addon while you’re entering in these existing bookings.

    Would this work for overriding exceptions in the booking schedule? We currently use the exceptions as a way of closing off people making bookings when at capacity, but would like the admin to be able to override that if possible

    Hi @kynseeker,

    By default, an Admin or Bookings Manager can bypass the Early and Late Bookings restrictions. If you want them to also be able to bypass the scheduling Exceptions, you’ll need to use the addon linked above.

    Thanks for that, I uploaded the plugin, but i’m still having a bit of trouble. The restaurant has it’s opening hours set from 6am til 9pm, and I can now set a booking outside those times fine. But now, on the 14th of May for example, there is an exception where the hours open are 4pm til 9pm, and I can’t make a booking outside those times

    You’re right. There was a typo which would prevent the closed schedule from being overwritten. I’ve updated the link above. Try downloading the code again and let me know if it works for you.

    You Sir, are awesome! Works like a charm. Loved the Restaurant Reservation plugin even before adding the override and the custom fields is worth every penny too
