• How do I access my www.remarpro.com administration panel? WordPress was installed on my server, but now I can’t figure out how to access it. I read in another thread to visit mywebsite.com/wp-admin, but this automatically redirects to mywebsite.wordpress.com/wp-admin, and I’m pretty confident that that’s not what I need. Thank you.

If so, it is hosted at WordPress.com and that login redirect is normal.

Yes, that’s the website. I’m trying to host my own but am having extreme difficulties setting it up. I purchased hosting for it and I can’t figure out for the life of me how to transfer everything over. I’ve installed the software on the server, but then I can’t figure out how to access it.

Most hosts provide you with a temporary URL where you can access your site while you’re setting it up, before you go live. Ask them what that URL is or look in your hosting control panel.

When you’re ready to go live, you’re going to need to switch the DNS to point the domain to your new server. Your host will have provided DNS servers when you signed up – for example, they look something like:

    ns1.myhost.com
    ns2.myhost.com

    (examples only)

You will need to log into your domain registration control panel (wherever you registered the domain) and go to the section where you update your name servers (aka DNS) and put in the information provided by your host.

I have the new name servers, but I’m leary about switching everything over until I understand fuly how it works and feel confident that it will operate correctly. I will be sure to ask the host tomorrow about the temporary URL. That will be very helpful. Thanks for the help.
