    “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”

    I am receiving this error when I try to view the options page within the admin panel (/wp-admin/edit.php?page=wp-polls/polls-options.php).

    Yes, I am obviously viewing this page as an admin. I have tried on two separate admin accounts, as well as in two separate WordPress installations.

    I have already tried to deactivate and reactivate the plugin as well as reinstalling it. I found a few other posts about that error with this plugin, but no solutions are suggested.

    I figured this out.

    I am using the plugin “Admin Menu Editor”, and I moved the location of the polls link around.

    The requested URL didn’t exist (the actual URL is admin.php, not edit.php):

    This: (/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wp-polls/polls-options.php) is correct.

    I haven’t experienced that issue with any other plugins that I have moved around with the Admin Menu Editor plugin. Maybe this could help someone else in the future.
