    Hallo together,

I installed the Plugin and regenerate thumbnails for one image. Where can I see that something happened? Where can I see the pictures on the WordPress Admin Site? Where can I see which media image is regenerated in the modern format?

For example imagify has a seperate column in the media-view.

Thanks in advance & Best Regards

You should see the new image format being used on the frontend of your site.

    Hi Weston,

Thanks for the prompt answer. To be clear:

    – I install the plugin
    – I regenerate the thumbnails for e.g. one picture
    – I check it with picture info

But it is furthermore a jpg. This is the info from View Image Info (properties). The extension from google chrome:

    Location: https://<domain>/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/855_Artischocken_Ravioli-1140×450.jpg
    Dimensions: 1140 x 450 px
    File Type: JPEG?image
    File Size: 124.81 KB?(127.810 bytes)
    Alt / Title: 3 grandios vegane Artischocken-Ravioli für Aschenputtel / —

    Best regards

Sorry, I don’t have any additional info. I’m not the primary developer for this plugin, but I’ll ping someone who may be able to answer further.

Please provide your Site Health information including your site’s URL so we can better investigate.

    Hi @vegisto

What tool are you using to regenerate the thumbnails?

    Location:?https://<domain>/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/855_Artischocken_Ravioli-1140×450.jpg

is this the “original” image you uploaded? please note that regenerating thumbnails generally only generates sub-sized images (thumbnail, medium, large, etc.), the original uploaded image is not touched.

Are you using AVIF output or WebP output?

Finally, can you check your media support under Tools->Site Health->Info->Media – it is possible your server doesn’t support the format you are trying to regenerate into.

    GDversion 2.3.3

GD supported file formats GIF, JPEG, PNG, WebP, BMP, AVIF, XPM

But I marked this thread as resolved, because I uninstalled regenerate thumbnails (because to old) and in the future I will uninstall Modern Media Format plugin. Because I have no monitoring and control if somehing happened…

So I’m looking for another solution.

    Kind Regards

    Gerhard
