Admin user get deactivated anytime a new user registers

  • Dear WordPress community,

    I have to admit that it seems to be as a really weird situation.
    Everytime that a new user registers to the wordpress system (v3.2.1)
    my admin user (the default admin user, id 1) become deactiavted and if
    that’s not enough , the first and last name of the admin user changed
    to the new registered user’s name.

    There was a developer I’ve hired to write a customzied registeration form and more, but I looked at the registeration’s file and found nothing “suspicious”. I know HTML and PHP.

    Do you have any advice how to track down the source of the problem?

  • I’d recommend getting rid of that customized registration form.

    Update: It doesn’t happen when new users register.

    I tried to register a new user and my admin account didn’t get deactivated.

    Any other advice of how I can locate the source of the problem?
